Ari L. Monts/Emet is the co-roshei yeshiva of Yeshivat Gadol v’Kadosh. A Brooklyn-based writer/scholar/zine maker/ritualist/ba’al tefilah/organizer/Jewish educator, Ari’s work engages with participatory rituals and affect, rigorous playfulness, pleasure, participation, and access.
Emet is a Storahtelling-trained artist, a SVARA Teaching (Cohort 5) Fellow, and a 2021 ALEPH Kesher Fellow. They can talk non-stop about the powerful work of learning in chevruta, memes, the book they half-read last year, and their cats, Anya and Alexei. You can read their (sometimes) writing here.
